Dancing Together has started!

We have had a very lovely first three weeks of our Dancing Together Mother&Baby sessions. Our participants have expressed that the sessions supported them to feel “lighter”, “relaxed” and “calm”.

Our programme focuses on improving mothers’ wellbeing, working on the links between physical activity and positive mental health. Each session, dance artist Mafe Toledo concentrates on a different body part.

Our Dancing Together – Toddlers sessions, focused on young children (up to 4 years) and their grown-ups, start at the end of this month. Through a mixture of guided and open-ended activities, toddlers develop their fine and gross motor skills whilst adults get a chance to move, stretch and release.

If you’re looking for an activity with your baby/child, and you’re local to Park Lane or Triangle Children’s Centre, you can also come dance with us. After the February Half Term this programme will also commence at the Walthamstow Toy Libraries Walthamstow and Leytonstone sites. If you are Walthamstow based get in touch with us to find out more.

This programme is supported by Sport Unites, a programme funded by the Mayor of London.
