We Are Here in Lockdown 2

We are currently delivering a new series of events and programmes to support families and responding to their needs in the pandemic following on from work we have developed since May. We were delighted to begin working with a group of 8 families in 1-1 sessions at Woodlands Park Children’s Centre last week. Children and families involved had a very bespoke experience watching Tinka the puppeteer and maker tell a lovely story and create characters from clay and natural autumn materials. It was incredible to watch the concentration, storytelling and language which subsequently emerged through their own creative play afterwards as they created their own little worlds and creatures. We are excited to continue this work with a second group at Triangle Children’s Centre this month. This work is through the Coronavirus Community Support Fund and distributed by the National Lotteries Community Fund and DCMS.
